Inorganic chemicals are mineral substances that do not contain both carbon and hydrogen. Most minerals are not a cause for concern in water ; in fact, some people buy water that contains minerals. Water contains many natural minerals from the rocks the water has come into contact with on its journey to the water treatment plant. Nutrients such as phosphorus and nitrogen used in agriculture are also inorganic chemicals. Metals such as calcium, iron, sodium, potassium, and zinc are inorganic elements.
